Daddy Date Night

We had our very first Daddy Date Night this past Saturday. It is so fun to see all those little girls dressed up and looking like princesses! All the dads looked so handsome. Randy got to go as a dad to an 8th grade young lady who is super sweet. I had opened the age group up to the youth also since the speaker had a teenage daughter but I wasn't sure any others would attend. I was pleasingly surprised that we had three others come, too.

We had a crowd breaker survey and then ate dinner. I made salad, spaghetti, garlic bread, and ice cream sundaes. After dinner we played a super fun relay game that involved chopsticks and marshmallows!

Our guest speaker was Mark Breeden, our church's worship leader. He has three beautiful girls so I thought who better to speak about raising daughters and teaching them how they should expect to be treated by men as they grow into adulthood. If we can get our girls to understand who they are in Christ, I believe a lot of poor decisions and heartache will be avoided in their lives.
