We all have experienced our children saying or doing something in public that has caused us great embarrassment. Like when I had our daughter Micaela in a checkout lane at the crowded grocery store. My ever observant 4 year old announced in a very loud voice, "Mom, that man is buying BEER! Doesn't he know that's not good for him?" I got a very dirty look for that one. I guess what goes around, comes around. I used to do things to my mom when I was a teenager that made her cringe but I thought were hysterical. Here's a classic that I got in an e-mail...
The Sermon I think this Mom will never forget.... this particular Sunday sermon..."Dear Lord," the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. "Without you, we are but dust." He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four year old girl voice, "Mom, what is butt dust?"
So the next time your child does something like this, just remember...you'll laugh about it some day.
